Shannon O'Donnell about Italy

Why Italy? because i’m Colombian but i’m feeling more italian. I love all of italian’s things.
Shannon O’donnell in Italy visited more places as Milan, Cinque Terre, Umbría, Tuscan and Florence . (the north of italy) and rome that it’s located in the south of italy . july 1,  2009/ september 2, 2011.

The ways she describes places  and people in her blog  is more personal and complete. She tell us about many fascinating details. Italy is a country that have  lot of exotic sights and the food it’s very great ! I can confirm this; for me it’s the best of the world.
Gelato! it’s the word of Shannon’s travels here , because in summer you can found the best ice-cream in all corner of the cities. She used many images for illustrated us the places where she was ;one of

them was: cinque terre, the trip was for 5 hour hike from  the coastline to cliffs high above the sea. She also tell us about Italian architecture , she said-it’s not so much the style of the houses but the color really- Mediterranean and exotic. Shannon show us the stunning anonymity of the giant face in Florence, This is one of the few pieces of art that she is inexplicably drawn to; she described it like bizarre, huge and beautiful. In Rome she travelled alone in her holidays. She speaks about the carabinieri, the police in italy. She was surprised because they received some “open appreciations” that she exasperated and pissed and she can’t believe that the police did it . It was the first strong cultural difference. She also said that her first thought about the southern people specially the men was that they were crude .
In Rome she visited the lure of the ancient Coliseum and the magical Trevi Fountain under the dusky night sky prompted she to enjoy some pistacchio gelato; her favourite flavour.
She was fascinated with the food:”Meals in the country are filled with fresh pastas, fragrant sauces, garnished with lightly steamed vegetables retaining just the perfect amount of crunch. Then you compliment your delicious meal with a sweet and fruity local wine shipped in from the countryside not more than 50 miles from where you sit and it’s memorable. Even years later it’s memorable.”
Shannon said also that  Italy ranks as one of her favorite developed-world countries and it really comes down to the eating experiences.
In conclusion italy it’s a good place to visit, and we can found good meals ,beautiful architectures , ancients cities and streets and THE BEST FLAVOURS OF ICE-CREAM.
